Plus I emailed them today and they said decisions will be released by June 1st 8-|
@collegeapp14, GT was my 1st choice and I thought I would get accepted to UVA. funny, I thought BC was not a possibility at all!!! Funny how things worked out! . Without being overly specific, I had 2 hooks to differentiate me from the transfer crowd. I cannot offer more than that but I knew GT was going to be tough. I’;m still waiting but even if I get accepted, I’m not so sure I’m going to give up BC. I’m curious how i will process that question.
Seems like a lot of this going around. But a bit of the opposite for you. D was wl at gtown with 1540 35 4.0uw val of super comp school and varsity athlete capt with 13 aps. Got into a top ten public honors and BC. Totally preferred BC after attending an admitted students day over both. Said no to gtown waitlist for premed. Once she saw facilities and students at Bc compared to both and sports etc. so chin up. Your in a super elite school that your friends would die to be able to attend. And they looked so happy at Bc. Gtown quite frankly not so much. But it’s tippy too so I get the attraction.
@privatebanker Haha thank you for the advice. Getting very excited about it all as the days go by!!
Decisions have been made but georgetown it’s a matter of them sending it I called them…
@parkcentral Who’d you talk to?
Just so you all know, I had a friend accepted last Friday to the College. I still haven’t heard anything from SFS. It really doesn’t make sense how they roll these out.
Besides academics. school spirit was my 2nd bucket and I have done a TON of research on schools and IMHO, BC is in the top 5. Other notables are ND and USC. GT lacks a central campus in the traditional sense and that lends itself to a lack of community, sense of belonging and college identity = little school spirit. Sports wise, the Hoya’s had their day but have not shown much since Ewing’s day. Yes, the location and academics are top tier, but so is BC.
hopefully can hear something today
Last year it looks like most of the decisions came out the last Friday before June 1st. We’ll see what happens. It seems like a lot of people are worried that if they haven’t heard by now it means they were rejected, but last year there were people getting accepted up to the day of. I’m just planning on not hearing until June 1st, and if I get news sooner that’s great!
I called the admission and they told me that the decision will be out at June 1st
Is anyone Justice and Peace Studies?
spoke to gtown admissions and they told me decisions are still rolling it all depends on how quickly the office sends them out but you can get accepted until june 1st there is no strategy the office is just slow… however it seems unlikely that it is an acceptance instead of a waitlist/rejection this late in the game…
have any psych majors been accepted ?

Thank you. Name-calling makes it very difficult to have constructive discourse, and this website would be nothing without the moderators’ vigilant work.
Did the admission say it’s likely a denial this late? @ummmmmmmmm
it honestly feels like only 2 people have gotten into MSB
I don’t know if it has even been two haha
I have a friend who transferred to Georgetown this past fall and was admitted on May 30th. I understand that the college admissions process (especially the transfer process) is extremely stressful, but let’s not make assumptions. Just because you haven’t heard back yet does NOT make your decision an automatic rejection. As for those who continue to share their assumptions (especially those who have already gotten their acceptances!), I ask for you to refrain from doing so as all it is doing is stressing applicants out further. The truth is that no one knows for sure, all of the comments made here are purely conjecture based off of past threads, etc. Congrats to those who have already been accepted and good luck to everyone finding out! I’m rooting for all of you!
