wn?

So, the biology department emailed me that they had accepted me and was congratulating me on the acceptance. Then I had another email explaining how I was not accepted but was in the 95% who might've been accepted. Is this a "likely"?

Also if I get accepted into the biology department am I allowed to change schools if I want to become a political science major or something else? Thanks.

[Applicants Misinformed of Admission | The Hoya](http://www.thehoya.com/news/applicants-misinformed-admission/)
this article should help clear up that mistake

also as far as I know you can switch majors because you won’t technically be declaring a major until sophomore year

I indicated biology as my intended major and didn’t receive one of those emails. Does that mean I didn’t get in, or were those 30 applicants just a small portion of the biology majors that will likely be accepted?

Oh, thanks for clearing it up! But I was wondering if you applied to the college of sciences, but wanted to major in business and transfer to Mcdoungh college, whether that would be ok? Thanks!

Yes but this is not necessarily an easy thing to do; administratively, gtown school’s are completely separate from each other and internal transfers are far from a guarantee.

I would recommend writing a letter as soon as you get your acceptance letter, its a lot easier before getting to gtown. I was originally accepted at the b-school but then transferred to the college before even stepping on gtown’s campus
