I got into all three schools listed above (Georgetown, Cornell, and Boston College) and i was just wondering if i could get some input on each school and maybe some opinions on which would be a better option. I got into MSB at Georgetown, Cornell AEM, and Boston college Carroll Honors program which accepts 30 kids. I know im looking for a nice campus with great opportunities, especially in finance, as well as a great education. I also want to make sure i have a lot of fun while im there.

All three schools have a beautiful campus and all three schools have a good finance education. In terms of rank and overall education probably 1. Cornell 2. Georgetown 3. BC. Boston is an extremely fun city. I think it all depends on what feels better for you. Visiting is always the best. I would say Cornell AEM.

Go to Boston!!!!!
More job opportunities!!!
well or Cornell is also really good

i chose georgetown msb over cornell aem mainly for broader reasons about georgetown over cornell like location campus size basketball team etc...but i also chose georgetown because i believed and still believe that theyre are a lot more opportunities and connections to wall street via gtown...both are excellent choices...bc is not in the same league

georgetown's MSB is getting a new building coming in 09... which will mean it will be a lot better

Georgetown is better known for its area's in politics... I read some where that cornell's program is really good, though

nobody is disputing that georgetown is best known for politics but it doesnt mean that it cant have a great business program just like the wharton school does not prevent penn from having an excellent premed program

i have the same dilemma. I got into all three, but narrowed it down to Cornell aem and Georgetown msb. Im kinda desperate here, i definitely want to study finance, possibly getting a double major. After college I want to go work in banking in wallstreet. Is there much difference in bank recruitment between these colleges?

Two very difference experiences - Cornell is huge and very cold in the winter, and social life is very fratty - so if you’re into that, then it may be the place for you… whereas Gtown is a small/medium sized campus in DC where the social life revolves house parties, bars, and the clubs you’re in - very different experiences… recommend visiting both…

Bank recruitment difference is marginal.

Double majoring is very easy, at most maybe 3 extra classes? I almost went to Cornell AEM but realized Cornell is in the middle of nowhere, Georgetown has a wide array of connections in the city and when I got here I found out everyone was investment banking Wall Street oriented. The school definitely focuses on getting you into banking, maybe a little too much sometimes haha The new building is incredible too (sometimes a little crowded to study) and we’ll have a coffee shop soon. Other than that, take a look at what Cornell has to offer. Both are incredibly strong, but if you do want to get into banking, I would choose MSB.
