**Georgetown University Offical Transfer Thread 2008**

My interviewer called me tonight to ask me more about my extracurricular activities. I had an interview with him about three weeks ago. He is a law student at UVA, meaning that he has been extremely busy, so he completed the report at the last minute.

He told me that the deadline for the interview report is May 1st. So, I guess a lot of interviewers have not turned in their reports until yesterday. I assume that's why only few people got their decisions during last week.

I think a huge chunk of decisions is going to come out at the end of next week since they will have compiled and evaluated all the interview reports by then.

thanks for the info. wish everyone goodluck. just one more week :)

Yeah, my interviewer gave me similar feedback. He said he was going to fill out the stuff right away, but the deadline for them to do it was May 1st.

...does this mean a lot of people without interviews should have heard already? hope not! are there people here who didnt have an interview who havent heard anything yet?

i idnt have an interview and didnt hear anything yet. oh shoot.

No idea, I wouldn't freak out about it.

Georgetown decisions from April 28 should be in your mailbox right now. Sachmoney is right, if you didn't get an interview request don't panic.

thanks for the updates, everyone!!

I'm sorry I am a bit lost...who said anything about April 28 decisions?

Georgetown makes decisions on a rolling bases and typically mails letters at the beginning of the week (Monday) so that they will be in your mailbox by Thursday or Friday. April 28 (Monday) decisions should be in your mailbox right now. All decisions should be in your hands by May 15 and the admissions office encourages you to call them if you haven't received your letter by that time period. Hope this helps.

oh.. rejection letters as well?

It says decision letters right? I guess rejections as well. We'll see right?

thanks a lot for this information black mamba. just curious but where did you find this information?

i feel like if there were decisions that reached people today, someone on here would've found out....

I completely agree with that. And I'm also sort of confused at the fact that those on this forum that said they already "got in" have provided no detail. Sort of makes me wonder...

Hey Crog359, I'm currently a first year and received my acceptance letter from Georgetown last Friday. The letter was dated April 23 and came in a very modest envelope. (Nothing like the fat acceptance package you receive from most other universities).

Although you probably know whats going on over there much as i do, you can ask me any questions about the acceptance process if you want. I'll try my best to answer them.

Oh yeah, just wanted to mention this - If you received an email regarding your financial aid from Georgetown with the title Welcome to Georgetown Payment Planner from GU Office of Student Fin., chances are you have been accepted into the university.

Hey CherryBlossom, which school in Georgetown did you get into?

crog, it seems credible that there were people who got in last week. but i do wonder what the circumstances were and why they heard so early... just bc there are a lottt of really qualified people and even priority applicants on the board who havent heard back yet. but i guess we'll all get answers really soon so we'll live

transfermation has everyone on the forum paranoid hahahaha

I second blackmamba's question.

hahahaha true and i'll third the question
