Georgetown University Transfer 2019

@taylor99 Oh I completely agree that they could’ve planned ahead, but, also, they’re not bound to releasing decisions this early. I mean, I know they usually do, but their website says June 1, which buys them a lot of time. I guess we’ll find out eventually(:

I really wish they released on the portal

@ashtash If they don’t release on the portal, how are we notified?

@transferstdnt99 Look at my recent replies. Sorry, I don’t feel typing it again, haha

They certainly will notify whoever get accepted by email. Just wait for a few more hours and we will find out

@1wosba Yeah, they email accepted applicants and the rest get decisions later by mail

So if we don’t get an email it means we probably got rejected?

Not necessarily. but the later you get the notification, the more likely you are going to be rejected.

@janice4527 I’d said if you don’t get an email by mid-May you’re probably going to get a waitlist/denial letter. I would look at older transfer threads to get a better idea of the timing of decisions

anyone get anything?

not yet @transferstdnt99

im kinda bummed, i was hoping i’d hear back today

Nothing yet. Guess today is just not the day. It’s probably tomorrow or next Monday though.

I just contacted GU regarding an early read and asked about the release of decisions. I’ll let y’all know if I hear anything

@ashtash do they give early readings?

@Needmoreec They have in the past according to older threads. You just have to email and ask. They usually don’t tell you straight up, but they say “You’re likely going to be accepted/denied/waitlisted”

@ashtash Gotcha thank you! I hope you get in!

@Needmoreec thank you! I’ll be surprised if they respond because I often have issues with getting responses, but we’ll see, lol

Guys I received a reply from the admissions officer who told me that they will get back to me by May 1. Thanks again for your suggestions @Ashtash. I truly appreciate it

@ZZZXXXZZZ No problem! Would you mind telling me who you contacted? I need an early read now as well(:
