Georgetown University Transfer 2019

the first acceptance (that we know of) in 2018 was sent out on a Wednesday. I was looking at threads from all different years, and it seems like they send them any day & any time they want

I received an email from Georgetown at 8:20 EST asking me to check my portal. I was accepted to Georgetown as a 2019 Fall transfer

@cccccccccc2019 that’s awesome, congrats!! does it say anything about how many people applied/got admitted?

100/2600

@cccccccccc2019 Congrats!!! Which school did you apply to?

NHS

wait what? thats like a 4% acceptance rate. can you send the part where they said that?

edit: congratulations by the way!!!

Congrats! I am jealous, man. Good luck!

they accepted 100 students out of 2,600 applicants?? that’s literally a 0.04% acceptance rate

Thanks, I don’t feel comfortable posting any part of my acceptance letter, since it was addressed to me personally.

@cccccccccc2019 definitely understandable.

If you check the message boards from years before, you will see there has been a similarly low acceptance rate for transfers. That said, best of luck to you all!

@cccccccccc2019 did you request an early read by chance?

@cccccccccc2019 Would you mind sharing your stats? Also, did the letter say “100 spaces” or “100 admits.”

Is it safe to assume we got rejected? Are they sending the rejection letters through the mail this year again or through the portal?

No early read, and 100 spaces

It is probably safe to assume that NHS accepted applicants were notified today. Georgetown is rolling, so it is truly quite random. @polyscidreamer

@polyscidreamer I wouldn’t say that. Georgetown has an apparent habit of being a mess when it comes to having a smooth application process. There are probably dozens of accepted people that haven’t heard back from them yet. There are also hundreds of rejects that haven’t heard back from them either lol

I’m just so nervous, it’s been my dream school since forever.

Congrats @cccccccccc2019 ! So happy for you. I really hope everyone’s letters start rolling in. The suspense is killing us.
