Georgetown University Transfer 2019

@Ashtash how did it go?

@Redacted1 , Same here, Iā€™ll be out in August. Not sure if you started looking into financial aid but the GI bill along with the YRP (as it applies for SFS) seems to fall pretty short of the total tuition price.

@laxgirl77 I have not. I requested an early read today because I have two deadlines in the next two weeks (Iā€™m deciding between two right now).

I GOT IN!!! Omggggggg

@polyscidreamer Congrats! Did u request an early read?

@polyscidreamer Congrats!!!

@Trransfer2019 Can you let me know what they say when they get back to you?

@d36d36 yeah. I know. :confused: Iā€™ll be looking into it more if I get in. I talked to the aid office awhile back.

@laxgirl77 yes, ofc

I didnā€™t request an early read and I got into SFS international politics major

@polyscidreamer well thatā€™s not very cash money. I want to know! :stuck_out_tongue: I guess they do them in waves, because my package hasnā€™t gone up it seems.

@laxgirl77 I applied as a neurobiology major , and i havenā€™t heard anything yet either!

I applied for biochem; havenā€™t heard back

Sent in an update to Georgetown that Iā€™ve been accepted to take classes at Stanford and will be participating in their startup extracurricular program.

College Gpa: 3.6 (low I know donā€™t drag me)
Applied MSB as a junior transfer
Had a great interview
My recs are spot on
extra curriculars are solid
professional experience is a1

Honestly wouldnā€™t be surprised if I was rejected. Should I even bother asking my best friend (a president of one of ye olde clubs on campus) for a peer letter of rec.

Idk Iā€™m just waiting on that rejection.

forgot to mention that the Stanford thing is over the summer

Hello! To those looking for any movement, I requested an early read and was denied, best of luck to everyone still waiting!

@Needmoreec Thanks for letting us know. As usual, this decision does not define youā€¦ Hope you can get in to somewhere betterā€¦

I understand it must be very disappointing, but this decision in no way defines you. They made the decision solely based on a version of you that was demonstrated on the application, not based on who you really are as a person. Iā€™m sure that you will also excel at another university. Best wishes.

This waiting is making me anxious

yeah I know. we all are.
