is everyone waiting for SFS? or are you all still waiting on other colleges as well? wishing all of you luck in staying focused while we wait…it’s so hard
anyone else still waiting for msb
@10rainbow10 I am
Still waiting for the College, I’m very nervous… to say the least. I emailed my transfer committee chair today asking for an early read. Wish me luck
I don’t know what’s happening but I emailed the transfer committee for an early read like two or three weeks ago but I never got a response. I start to have a bad feeling that maybe this does impact your admissibility, to some extent.
do you guys think there will be more MSB
.
I just got accepted to UChicago, so I feel alot calmer, because it is a more selective school. Fingers crossed for Friday. Best of luck all.
@1wosba , I don’t think so - but then again, we’re all reading tea leafs.
@Redacted1 Congrats!!! What major are you applying to?
@ekamrad , Public Policy, dawg.
@Redacted1 what’s your background/rating? I’m separating from the service too, different branch though. I feel like I have a perfect background for Georgetown but can’t help being anxious.
@UghAlready , DM me.
Will do, I just need to make a few posts first. I’ve been creeping this thread for awhile now. Finally broke down and made an account. Congrats to those who are accepted, fingers crossed for those still waiting!
Hey squad,
I am a premed student who is already in Northwestern University. I am super into Georgetown just because I really like the school and it is closer to home and my friends from high school. However, is this reason to choose gtown over nw? This is assuming I get in which is still highly doubtful. My family is firmly in favor of me going to nw because it is better for my intended profession but I thought I would ask for advice from a neutral crowd. Any ideas?
@SSAG Hey I would say it;s a valid reason to transfer, for you personally. You can definitely mention that in your application, but under usual circumstances, simply wanting to be closer to home per se would not be a sufficient ground for you to be accepted into GTown, so you might want to have also some other specific and persuasive reasons of why you really like the Georgetown over all other schools.
Have any decisions been released for the college? I’ve seen a bunch of acceptances to the other various schools of Georgetown, but I haven’t seen any to the college.
Yeah, I applied to the college as well. I’ve asked my chair for an early read but haven’t received a response. Hopefully that’s the school this year with more accepted applicants.
Guys I don’t think it’s a good idea to ask for an early read this year. I don’t know what happened last year or even a few more years back. But from what I have seen on this thread for this admission cycle, People who requested early read either got straight out rejected, being told “admission unlikely”, or never got a response from anyone. I think it’s obvious that this is not an action that the admission office really wants to encourage or otherwise everyone would start asking for early read. I’m not saying that you will certainly be negatively impacted for asking for it, but rather that this is not something you would or should do simply because you’re out of patience waiting. Just relaxed and wait and keep an eye on ur email. Thats literally the best and only thing we all can do right now.
I only asked for an early read because I have a deposit deadline coming up on the 15th for another school. Otherwise, I would just wait it out. My committee chair hasn’t responded yet.
I am exhausted waiting for this decision. When. Will. It. Come.
