Surprised to read that a few outstanding applicants with the intended CompSci major have been deferred this year. We used to live in Atlanta but moved away after our son’s junior year. My son is considered OOS but probably not a typical OOSS since most of his high school years are in Georgia. He has fortunately been accepted EA with the CS major. Quite shocking to us is that some students from his previous high school in Georgia who have equally accomplishing or better academic records applying to CS or EE have been deferred. If you are EA accepted for CS and EE, can you share your academic records? I think with GT, only these 6 areas matter during the EA round, especially with the in-state students. Thanks.

- Subject SAT scores
- GPA (Unweighted/Weighted)
- Class rank: 4.1. If unranked, type of school and number of graduating seniors:
- AP courses (and their scores)
- Any software dev. experience? Any apps?
Examples:
- General SAT or ACT scores - 1480/1600 (Old), 1500/1600 (New)
- Subject SAT scores - Math II 780, Physics 770
- GPA (Unweighted/Weighted) - 3.9 (U), 4.3 (W)
- Class rank - Unranked
4.1. If unranked, type of school or number of graduating seniors - private, 150 - AP courses (and their scores) - Bio (5), Calc BC (4), GOV (5), US History (5), etc.
- Any software dev. experience? Any apps? - School Coding club since 9th grade. Wrote a mobile app for after-school student carpool.
Deferred…Nobody that I know got accepted…GT is weird

How are we supposed to share our updates in 1500 characters AND persuade them to admit us in such a limited space on the DSF :-o
No email here - not expecting it for Stamps but thought the Honors app was opening and many applicants would be invited to apply. Anyone get a message about he Honors Program application?

My son got an email about applying for the honors college. He just received it a few minutes ago.
Thank you - It did come in shortly after I posted (Murphy’s Law) - re Honors & Grand Challenges. Will try to get a better sense of the programs.

Got a mail for initial view interview as non native english speaking applicant
Okay I have not received any emails from the school but I was accepted and I am a semi-finalist for Stamps…how many emails have I missed?..should I email the school?
I didnt take either and got in for CE (I’m in regular calculus). I did, however, get a 35 on the ACT and an 800 in the Math II and Chemistry Subject Tests.
