Is it more valuable to get a law degree or go to business school or concentrate on a prograsm like the one at NYU which specializes in Sports Management?

That is a tough question to answer because not all jobs in the "sports industry" require, or even involve matters that would pertain to legal training. Even sports agents are not required to be attorney. Go can look up the NFL Players Association to see the requirement for be certified as sports agent. So, it is really a matter of what portion of the sports industry you are interested in. PR -- get a journalism degree. Marketing -- a business degree, etc.

the most important assets are connections and work experience.
