Girls applying to Barnard RD! :)

artemisakadiana: Mine was just short of 2 pages, Times New Roman, 12pt, double-spaced

GIRLS! I am having a mini panic attack! I am soo scared I won’t get into Barnard& I soo upset I did not do ED (even if it meant not being able to apply for HEOP!) I love Barnard soooooooo much! If I don’t get it, I’ll be heart broken!

sigh ok just needed to vent lol sorry

&& yea I think the personal statement should be around 2 pages, double space, 12 font, Times New Roman

I just gotta say, Barnard’s forum is so much more active and community-like that Wellesley’s. P:

mdh625- Haha, don’t freak out! I’m sure your passion for the college will shine through, and they look for that. ;)

(deferred ED’er here, joining the RD party.)

@ Shay33- Thanks! I hope we all get in! the Barnard community in general (from what I have seen through my various visits) is very close-knit and friendly  Hmmm can’t wait till I recieve my letter! (although Im still working hard on their supps!)

I just sent in my application!!! AHHH now I’m freaking out. How will I be able to wait for 4 months!?! (at least I get to go on a school trip to Italy during Spring Break…maybe if I count down until then it’ll make the wait go faster?)

Ahhh I think I’ve finished the supplement. I don’t know how I’ll wait 4 months either.

Your wait will actually be right around 3 months, not 4. Still, a long time, I know.

But over the past 5 years, at least, admissions packets have been sent out about a week before March 31st. And, in this case, you will know your admissions status BEFORE the CC/SEAS kids! :)

That’s a relief.

To submit or not to submit… that is the question.

@aspheric Haha I totally know what you’re talking about, Im having the same problem. Done with the supps and everything as well but I keep thinking that if I somehow keep proofreading/revising I can make them stronger or whatever  In the end though, I just end up rearranging them back to their original position. God, we have 3 days left, but I have to submit right now, if not, Ill probably miss the deadline.

@aspheric& artemisakadiana: Im in the same problem too! I want my supps to be as perfect as possible! I want my admission officer to see I spent a lot of time and effort on their supps. Hmmm hopefully I will send it in before the 30 lol!

Eeeeek Ive sent!!! I hovered over the submit button for over half an hour, Im really serious haha. My friends were so happy that I finally was brave enough to send that they took me out clubbing. God we have to now wait for 4 months… arghh

@mdh625 Good luck hun!! Gosh I hope we all get iiin :D

hullo hullo, I’m applying.

Anyone think barnard has the most grueling supplement out of any college they’re applying to? I’m dyingggggggg.

Hi~ I’m applying. Just finished. (Yesss)
I found the Barnard supplement way more fun than a lot of others. . .haha

Life is good.

So now the waiting game!! Everything is sent! I am very hapy, I have more free time now

Life is good aspheric!

I literally thought I wouldn’t be able to get past these hectic deadlines!

It’s unreal that I’ve already submitted the app, and now have to wait. It’s like I’ve been waiting for this all my life.

Hey everyone! Canadian girl who has applied to Barnard - looking forward to hearing from you all in April!

Good luck to everyone : ) I was deferred ED so I’m in the same boat as all of you.
Just wondering, when do we send the midyear report? Is there no exact date, or am I just missing it on Barnard’s website…
