By this point we’re all aware we can’t wear contacts during basic. however, i know personally i could survive just fine without them for 6 weeks. Point being i kinda want to avoid the glasses. That said, do i need to fill out that eyeglass form and such, or would it be better to just ignore it?

If you have a prescription you will be issued glasses. They will expect you to wear those glasses. Don't think you will get an option.

and we will be able to wear contacts right after BCT, right?

Right after acceptance you should be able to wear them if you have them. Potter left hers at her Aunts, and had to wait for parents weekend.

now does that mean that i can BRING them to i-day, but just can't WEAR them until acceptance? or do i have to leave them at home and have my parents mail them to me?

It would be best just to leave them at home and get them later. That's what I will be doing.

i hear if you don't mind them sitting in a bag for 6 weeks, you're okay to bring them to i-day. they'll be thrown in storage. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

well, i guess it depends on if you're a casual contact wearer or not.

i only wear glasses when i absolutely have to, love the contacts. it seems worth it to me to bring a little bottle of solution and one pair, and have my parents bring the rest of my supplies when they come.

i suppose if you didn't really care, you might as well just have parents bring them.
