Global leadership

Is anyone currently doing this through Marshall?
Or planning to?

How many people are invited for example?
any info on it?
thanks!
It seems interesting... and like the school gives you a lot of attention
which is cool i guess
thanks!

My son did GLP and he really liked it. This year, the class is on Fridays at 10AM. James Ellis, the dean of Marshall, runs the class and brings in guest lecturers (CEOs, business people, motivational speakers, etc.) I went to a lecture during Parents' Weekend. There were maybe 150 students (?) I don't know how many are invited. They went to China over spring break-some to Beijing, some to Shanghai- and visited several businesses there.

I asked questions about this last year- here are some discussions:

can students in CAS participate in this program too? and do you need to apply for it? a lot of people seem to be interested in it..

sorry, need to be in business and need to be invited

for those in marshall who didnt get invited to glp, there is the linc program which is open to everyone, with a similiar trip during spring break
and i think an additional seminar class

I was invited and plan to do it.

Apparently the China trip is a little expensive, which I was a little concerned about.

Well, I don't know if they can be this generous now because when I went 2 years ago, it wasn't more than 60 freshmen. The cost for Shanghai was originally 1600, but if you gave your fin aid statement and/or letter from your parents, you could get a reduction. I ended up paying $400.
Perhaps someone who went last year (either on GLP or LINC) would have more update info on aid.
