I'm wondering if I need to do SAT 2's to be admitted to state colleges.I did not write them and cannot anylonger/ My ultimate goal is to transfer to UCLA or UCB. Am I too late?

I have 2 APs right now with 5's, and going to take another 2. I'm wondering if I can use those for credits.

My GPA is 84%, SAT Score 1900. 600CR, 690MATH,610WRIT

What are the good colleges that a lot of students get into UCLA or UCB?

SMC has the most (but not the highest %) of applicants accepted into UCLA. That is where I plan to go once I graduate from high school.

If you plan to transfer our before your two years are up, they will look at your high school academics and SAT scores. If you transfer as a coming junior then they do not look at your SAT score and high school curriculum.

If you really want to transfer to UCLA or UCB do not go to a state college. Find a California Community College that you like because California Community Colleges get priority to over any schools when transferring to a UC school.

To my knowledge UCB does not accept any less than a junior level transfer and thus never requires high school grades, or SAT scores. The AP scores can, of course, be used in place of lower division courses, that is what they are intended to accomplish. And, do not fall under the spell that the CCC that you intend has any bearing on your admittance --that's a myth. Go to the CCC that works for you, not what you think works for UCB/UCLA, because they all will.

EDIT: Yea, I agree with thedude44, going to a CSU would be a terrible decision if you are intending to transfer to UCB/UCLA. The CCC system is the way to go, as priority is, as stated in Thedude's post, given to CCC over CSU( or any other college) students.

The best Junior College in California, is Santa Rosa Junior College. If you come out of HS with a 3.0 they pay you to go to school. We have the Doyle Scholarship that everyone gets and covers all tuition and books. If you do the IGETC plan which is very doable in two years and get 3.5-4.0 GPA you have a very solid chance at USC, UCB or UCLA, 3.0-3.5 take your pick at any other UC and 2.0-3.0 take your pick of CSU. My Juco is considered a feeder for UCB hence our masscot the bear cubs. There is outstanding oppurtunity here that is unmatched compared to any other CC. I got a 3.6 GPA and I am transferring next semester to a very elite school on the East Coast. SRJC is like a miny ivy leaugue and the admistatrion is so good! For a junior collge this place is a utopia of excellence in everything we do here. The best Junior Collge in California, is Santa Rosa Junior College. If brick buildings with ivy on the walls and campus with about 100 oak trees is your type of scenery you will very much enjoy it here. I really enjoyed about 3 out of 4 proffesors here as well. Santa Rosa Junior College check it out!

I do not go to Santa Rosa Community College but I have been on campus several times and the campus is very beautiful. From what I hear it is an all around excellent school but do not worry if you can not go to SRCC because you pretty much have just as good of a shot coming from any CC.

Hi, yes I meant CCC, not CSU, sorry for the confusion.
Thanks for all the responses.
I also wanted to note I'm from Canada thus an international student. Will that have any major impact on my application to CCC or when I try to tranfer?

I checked out the SRJC webpage but cannot find anything pertaining to Scholarships?
