Currently, my scores are about a 780-800 on CR, 750-800 on M and a 730-750 on Writing. Would it be a good idea to use PR 11 tests and only do the math and writing sections for practice? I understand all the math concepts, i just make stupid errors

I assume you went through all the tests in the blue book. What were your scores like before that? If you improved a lot, and want to improve just a bit more, sure, go for the PR tests. However, if you are making ‘stupid errors’ then you may just need to work on your concentration and test taking strategies. Good luck ;)

I was at 1800s in the BB and improved now to over a 2200. I want that 2400 and with a bit of luck, i think i can achieve it…Still i rather not leave it to luck and have everything down solidly.(solidly? lol im pretty sure that’s ungrammatical).

But yeah, should i just skip the PR CR sections since they are inaccurate and may cause more harm than good? and just do the math and writing?

NspiredOne, just to confirm, you self-studied through BB and went from 1800 to 2200s? I’m in the same position as you were as I’m trying to improve… How long would you say you practiced on your own to achieve the 2000s?

Sorry for the slight tangent, but your score increase is incredible. Shows that hard work pays off…

I wish I were as dedicated as you.

I used PR tests for doing individual sections and it worked well for me. I’d suggest doing the same, taking three sections at a time for the area that you need to work the most in.

Wow nice job on the score increase. I’m looking to do that over the summer. What would you suggest for improving on math? I make stupid errors too, it’s not the concepts. I’m currently making my way through the blue book and have done McGraw hill for CR/writing which I’m pretty good at, ranging high 700’s.

Wedge, so you did like say all the Math on one PR test for the additional practice?

Are your mistakes in math and writing always on the hardest questions? Or are you making careless errors early?

I would focus on Writing. In my opinion, it’s both the easiest section for which to study and the most similar between tests. I wouldn’t totally skip studying CR if I were you, however. Do the most problems on Writing, then work on the Math section. If you’re truly making “stupid errors”, you can eliminate that problem by physically writing in the booklet what the question is asking for. Prior to the exam, my biggest math issue was solving for something totally unrelated.

It may not be 2400 advice, but I sure hope it’s 2400 (superscored) advice :P

I-I-Impossible…

Your SAT levels…

THEY’RE OVAR 2,000!!!11111!!

mmm good suggestions bernard… now that i am careful in math, im almost running out of time each section!!! gahhhh

^^allusion to Dragon Ball Z?
