to all coe kids, what's are the better / less difficult sections of 100 - just gunning for an A really. also note that I don't have any experience with programming if it makes a dif

Gaming for the Greater Good is easy… but its only offered in the Winter so everyone in the course has at least had Engr 101. If you suck at programming you’ll just **** your group off

MLDWoody, do you remember the names of any professors that were particularly hard or particularly easy?

digital signals processing with yagle is the easiest.

I suggest you take a good section that you have an interest in though; you’ll get much more out of it…

Engineering Design in the Real World.

Engineers Making a Difference <----- SOOOO easy

lol, I love how everyone listed a different class

MLD, it now says that gaming’ is offered fall only, [Michigan Engineering | Gaming for the Greater Good](http://www.engin.umich.edu/courses/eng100/current/chesney.html), and that you learn programming in the course - so I’m not sure how that’ll affect it.

p.s. would a 5 on ap phys b get my any credit, elective or otherwise, in coe

"Engineering Design in the Real World. "

NO NO NO NO NO DAIDA IS THE MOST WORTHLESS DB PROFESSOR. let’s say he’s an arrogant prick who thinks just a little too highly of himself…

that doesn’t make any sense…

the whole point of it being winter only was so everyone HAD to of had some programming class

well then don’t take it if you can’t program, you’ll **** your group off and you’ll get stuck at secretary

Oh, by the way you’ll get an A if your a chick in that class, the prof is all pro female engineers and is head of the female programmer group thing, and has 3 daughters…

Engineering Design in the Real World

I didn’t take this, but 2 of my friends did. One who gets more A+'s in COE than A’s, received his only A- from this Engin 100 class. Another one(3.9+) also got an A-. They both said that class took up a LOT of time, but it was good.

Any one here took the Design Competition (intro to aerospace engineering and underwater vehicle design) ones? I really want to do one of these, but from the description they look pretty tough and time-consuming.

thanks square, but I’m not really gunning for a section that takes up a LOT of times : p
So far you guys have given me: Gaming for the greater good, Engineering making a difference, and Music Signal Processing - with the first two being offered fall only and the later both terms.
So the question is, are there any advantages of taking Engineering 101 -not 100- Fall vs Winter sem - I don’t have any programming experience whatsoever. also my fall semester will be easier b/c ill only be taking 3 classes instead of 4.

Like I said, if you were in my group and you couldn’t program I’d be pretty ****ed off and would make you write all of the papers

haha, true; altho on the page it says the first half of that course is dedicated to learning programming and that you are not expected to know any programming before you come in

… really? Damn they are changing this class a lot. They don’t even get to classes in all of 101 how are they going to get to it in half of 100? That also means less time to work on your programming project which means more work outside of the class

Why has no one mentioned Cameras and Photography?

…or the Design Competition sections? Lol, I really wanna know

I thought Chesney taught the gaming for the greater good section…?

I took the Music Signal Processing one and it was easy. But don’t mix it up with Chen’s Microprocessors and Music section, that is hard. I can’t really speak for the others but I heard the one called something like “Engineers making a difference” and the photography one are both really easy.

Chesney does, I’m in that class right now

Ah, okay. I read your post as that the prof was a female also.
