Good Prep Strategy for Spanish AP?

I know its gonna be hard but my spanish teacher is terrible. When I say terrible, the substitute that used to teach spanish AP was 50 times better than her. So pretty much here's my studying plan:

Starting now listen to spanish music everyday (calle 13, shakira, and mark anthony thanks to the other thread over this!). I picked these artists since they all have various accents that should broaden my knowledge. Also, i will go to my spanish speaking friend's house (he's columbian) and talk and listen to his familiy for about all the months up to the AP test. Seems a lot but I really wanna be prepared

3 months out start reading spanish books and news.

1.5 months out start the AP prep with books (any suggestions?) and listen to spanish cartoons and tv shows.

Does this seem like a good strategy? Any suggestions welcome :D muchas gracias por ayudar!

Number 1 seems a little ‘out there’ and not guaranteed to be effective, but if you’re willing to try it no one is stopping you! It just seems like a pretty over-the-top strategy.
