Took PSAT in October, did very well. No prep, a sophomore, taking it "for real" in October.

Want to impove my score with prep, any suggestions for summer PSAT fun?

Thanks
Katia

There is no such thing as prep "fun"!

You probably don't need much prep, but go with the official SAT tests or get PR's PSAT book. The tests are good.

heres what I did and it helped....
soph PSAT M 80, W 72, CR 65 comp 217
junior PSAT M 80, W 80, CR 67 comp 227

I focused on fixing my writing because its obviously the easiest to fix....the best thing to do for that is get really really get at Process of elimination and to not get too caught up in how crappy the sentence is and how awkward sounding the correct version sounds....critical reading is always a problem for me so i left it alone pretty much

also...dont get too caught up in the answer pattern...i let it get to me soph year and second guessed myself....dont do that
hope it helped??

get the blue book from collegeboard, and just ignore the essay section.
thats what i did

that is exactly what i will be doing wonky

wait, you take the PSAT twice?
weird. i only took it once.

235, btw ;)
i used the princeton review book and studied minimally.

About the PSAT "fun" I was trying my hand at sarcasm.

I should have used quotes. . .

Yet thank you for the suggestions!

At my school we take it as a sophomore but it basically doesn't count since I couldn't qualify for National Merit, not sure how it works because colleges still mail me, so they must have gotten something, but basically this year it doesn't count. So I didn't prep at all (Actually I forgot about it until test day). We take it as practice to get familiar with the whole bubble concept, I suppose : ) This way we can see what we need to fix, how we can improve, etc. . . .

Then we take it as juniors and those are the scores that go on applications and stuff.
