Psat Test Prep Advice

Hey everyone

any suggestions to help someone do well on the PSAT
i know many mentioned to practice for the SAT and that should help
but what books should i get >> barrons.kaplans.princeton ???
i really want to get at least a 220

THANKS. =]

to prep I just took like 4 practice SATs to get the feel for the test. The PSAT is a lot shorter though so each question counts for more. Just be comfortable with the types of questions the SAT asks(minus the essay obviously) and you'll be fine. If you are going to get a book get the 10 Real SATs book from CB

hey thanks nalcon

I got the PR PSATs book in 2005...it's very good. I would definitely get that in addition to the real SATs book.

thanks sugar and spice

Barrons makes a good PSAT review book

so i should get a barron/princeton review psat book and the blue book
should those help me do at least a 220

Do you still qualify for national merit scholarship if you take it junior year vs. sophmore year. My D is stressing now that she is starting to prep for October as a soph.

Sophs do not qualifiy for merit based scholarships.
But don't tell them that, cause I heard that and blew off the test. 1770 baby!

LBI year round....your a lucky maddog!!!
