Hey guys, I just made an account, and I was wondering what the final interview is like? How is it different from the phone interviews? I did my phone interviews last week. Hoping for good news!

Good luck everyone!

Did my final interview last Tuesday, got an offer just today… so it took me exactly 10 days to hear back.

If anyone else is going to MTV, feel free to PM me!

It’s been one hell of a run CC, best of luck.

Congrats, Brazilian!!!

Hey guys, I did my in house interview in Mountain View on Tuesday and got an offer on Thursday. I really think if you get an in house interview youre gonna get the job. It felt more like them gauging my fit the whole day than an actual interview. Best of luck to all.

hey guys, congrats on all the offers and interviews! I was wondering if anyone had details about how their in-person interview went? Did they drop many of the same type of questions like the phone interviews, or was it just more of a relaxed conversation and event? That’s the feeling i’m getting, but I don’t want to let me guard down early!

@rydeordie1190 what department were you interviewing for?

Ahhh!!! Anyone else from Mountain View on Tuesday heard back because I haven’t heard anything yet :(

soo…has anyone still not heard anything? haha

I did two phone interviews (first round) last last Thursday. Emailed them a followup this week and just received a “we’ll let you know soon, thanks for your patience!” Since it’s been 2.5 weeks I’m a bit unsure of what to make of this…

I am going to Mountain View soon can anybody give some tips about how this interview will compare to the phone interviews?

i did consumer operations. most of the people I was there with were doing HR. I only met one other person who wasn’t interviewing for HR.

So for everyone wondering about timing and stuff, I would not stress too much. My timeline of events was really odd and it had me worried but I dont think you guys need to worry. I did my phone interview mid-late january and did not hear back until the middle of february for an in house interview. I then heard back two days after my in house interview with the offer. So, if you have not been updated in a while, don’t worry, it doesnt mean you didnt get it.

I also did my phone interview like 2.5 weeks ago and haven’t heard back yet. Which team were you interviewing for? Cause I’m pretty sure that they’ve been doing everything on a team-by-team basis. If I don’t hear back this week, I’m going to email them and see what’s up.

I’m flying out to NYC today! My interview is tomorrow so I will be sure to keep everyone updated!

Good luck to everyone that is still waiting to hear back!

:)

I just got an email and they said that the interview is going to be more personable and to see how you fit with the company.

Good luck everyone! NYC bound in a few hours!

:)

Goodluck Fuego305!!! I wish you all the best:)

I applied on January 1st and have not heard anything. At all. What is the email you use to ask about your status?

I just heard back today from the MTV People Ops I got it!! I interviewed last Tuesday

Congrats foxie!!! I just had my in person interview yesterday so I’m hoping I hear back soon!

This wait is the worst! Lol :)

@fuego305

How did your interview go? Can you explain what the questions were like and compare it to the phone interviews? I’m doing a final round soon, so it would be nice to know :)

Good luck!

hey guys,

I’ve been following this forum since last week and thought I might join in. I just got invited to do final interviews next week after a second round interview today.
