Any chance UCSD made a mistake and confused her with someone else? I mean, Asians have a lot of common last names, it's possible someone else with her name was the real person to get admitted. Whatever, I'm not trying to be mean, congrats to her, she's really lucky.

Sounds like you're playing the stock market. It's all speculation. Maybe UCLA made a mistake and should have accepted me? XD

My friend got accepted into ALL the UCs (yes including berkeley & UCLA) & her SAT scores were only 1600-ish and that was the highest score out of the THREE times she took it..yea i think UCs are random sumtimes..i'm happy for my friend tho & i wish the girl w/ the 1000 SATs the best of luck at UCSD..well now we know that ANYTHING can happen in the college admissions process

^ hahahaha seriously
ummm well now. if she is disabled/chooses random major, she will get in
also, even if she gets in, let's see how she lasts with the competition

This is not a big deal. Anything can happen, If our prestigous president got accepted to Yale with a curved 1260, 1000 to UC is not that strange. Also, if u know someone who sits at the admission office then ur chance is bigger too. Colleges tries to be fair, but they try so hard and can't. Unfair always happen. This is nothing strange.
