On the common app, it asks for my cumulative GPA. However, here in Canada we use percentages...should I just put my percentage grades and choose scale of 100?

Also, for the Common App secondary school counselor form, it asks for my GPA too (plus the GPA scale). Also, it asks for the highest GPA in my graduating class. Should my guidance counselor put the percentages for those too, and put scale of 100?

As of now, she's left it blank because in Canada we don't call our grades "GPA". I'm not really sure if I should ask her to put percents or not...

Thanks!

BUMP…I need to see my counselor aobut this asap…

ok BUMP again. Sorry! But I gotta see my counselor tomorrow. Could someone shed some light on this please? Thanks!

Use the 100 scale if that’s what your school uses. After all, it’s designated as an option on the Common App for a reason.

Hey lol thanks for replying. I talked to my counselor today, and she said that since we’re in Canada we don’t use GPA, so she’s gonna leave the GPA parts on the secondary school report blank (that’s what she did in previous years too). Does that mean I should leave mine blank too?

No I would definitely put in the scale (100), mention in the additional info what constitutes an a, b, c, d and then put your average.
