GPA needed to transfer to UCI, UCB, UCLA, UCSD from CCC?

Probably been answered a billion times but I have to go so just gonna ask real quick.

I have started out pretty crappy so far as a first semester freshman and if I'm lucky I'll pull a 3.5 out of my ass by the end of the semester.

Also do I need to do any big EC's? I did those in high school...like volunteer work...Can I use those same ones for when I apply in a few years? lol

depends on the major dude......

as a bio major...at least that's what I plan to put down.

Quick answer: Finish your pre-reqs and you'll skate by with a 3.5+. Don't finish 'em, and not even a 4.0 will save you (ucla and UCB only)

I read somewhere UCI has a guaranteed transfer if you have at least a minimum GPA of something...can't remember. Is that true? What about for UCSD?

Is a 3.5 really sufficient for UCLA/UCB though? seems kind of low to me.

Google for the UCLA average. It's on the website. And you guessed correctly- 3.5 is not enough for UCB's MCB program. Not even close.

UCI and UCSD have transfer programs that are specifically for CCC students, but it depends on your school. You should be able to find out more at your school's transfer center.

Oh Berkeley has a regular Bio program too. Still a 3.5 is probably a bit low.
