Hello! I’m a junior studying for october SAT and would like to know what score I could get for this essay I wrote in 25 min
Topic: Do we need other people in order to understand ourselves?
“Look in the mirror, the man you see is who you are, but others will see it differently and different perspectives are compiled to define your inner states”, stated by the Yvon chorfsky that we know ourselves the best but our inner states are reflected upon other people’s perspectives. However, in order for ourselves to understand individual’s interior, we do need other perspectives that can compile to define us as an individual.
The era of 21st century is explicitly defined by myriad of individuals’ inner states that are combined to form one communal society. Although human exterior is expressed ostensibly, human’s interior is most likely unknown to question by oneself. Psychologically, humans are likely to hide themselves to exaggerate themselves but on the truth, they won’t know who they are through the barricade they’ve set up inside of them. In which, peers will most likely to help oneself to understand his or her interior such as morality.
As I grew up in the multicultural place, I learned to express myself with exaggeration but through fabricating myself, I lost the originality of me. However, I lost myself by belying into exaggerating situations, my friends who knows me the closest helped me to define who I am by confronting my morality.
Through the psychological process our senses of neurons formulate, our interior state has been hidden but exposed to our peers that sees us indifferent perspectives. As I went through losing my originality by belying onto who I am, I was able to grasp the captivating relationship between our mind and our exterior expressions. As there are no facts, just different perspectives gathered to make one possibility, other people’s view on us could strongly help us to define and understand who we are now.
-Thank you!! and I’m ready to hear criticisms! score from 1-12 please
