GT Recalc

hey, does anyone know if GT adds .5 for honors and ap's or .5 for honors and 1 point for ap's?

(the latter might've been something else, but i forget)

I believe it .5 for both ap and honors.

so what would a good recalc. gpa be for someone with a 1400ish sat (from act) for GT

3.7+ is in the safe range

I just took a look at the most recent application, and I couldn't find anything that suggested a GPA recalculation.

hmm..well i remember reading somewhere on there that they do, but i'm not really sure.

btw, so what would a 3.5 + a 1400 be then?

You'd be in pretty good shape if that's what you have. GT really cares about the math portion of the SAT / ACT.

ok well i didn't want to make this a chance thread, but i've got a 32 on that math portion of the ACT and a 3.47 recal. at gt. (if it is truly .5)

You should ask GT, for I do not recall any there being recalculation when I applied last year, and as I said, I couldn't find any statement verifying the existence of a recalculation in the current application.

thanks fabrizio, i'll be sure to do that today or tom.
