Guidance Counselor "forgot" to send transcripts/recs

This is a just a rant about the guidance department my school.

My Guidance counselor stressed to everybody that we had to give her stamped envelopes/transcript requests/rec requests on OCTOBER 1st in order to have them sent by November 1st. She hadn't specified how we had to turn them in, so I spent all of homeroom on October 1st rearranging my packet because it was in the wrong order. Once everything is done, I hand it to them and forget about it, because I have others things to stress about.

Four weeks later, November 1st rolls around, and none of my colleges have received my transcripts, but I don't get upset because I figure they are still processing. A couple days later, I find that the colleges haven't gotten them because she hadn't sent them yet. She FORGOT to sent them.

I wasn't angry at first. But now I am. She had an ENTIRE MONTH to send them, and they are still sitting in her office, because she "forgot." !!!

End rant. I feel better now. =)

that sucks

Well I’m glad my guidance counselor like me.

Something like that happened to a friend of mine. She finished her college apps and gave them to her counselor and two weeks later she walked into her office and they were still sitting on her counselors desk.

Oh boy…I’d be flipping mad as well. Aside from EA/ED, the date of your entire applications package to the college plays a role in the admissions process. D:

Yeah. I calmed down when i realized that my first choice that i applied priority to didn’t need recs or transcripts.

I’m gonna call the colleges and explain the situation and see what happens.

Phew, good luck with that!

Dost thou smell a banterectomy abound?
