a friend that attends there now just texted me saying that they should start at 5pm today?? i hope shes correct haha

I checked the website, and nothing as of 6 pm… boo

same, bleh does anyone even know what “Under Review” would change to? haha

I think it will just change from “under review” to accepted and then you get the formal mail offer in the mail…

wait where are you guys seeing this online?

never mind I figured it out…they never sent me a GWU ID but the one I got when I applied last year worked and got me to my transfer app…

No change here either. We might have to wait another grueling 2 weeks like the CC GWU transfers did last year. Thats a whole lotta waiting…sigh

I hope not…I wanna know now lol… This waiting is killing me

any decisions out yet?

Nada on mine

mine says under review also still, so it will tell us there if we are in or not before snail mail?

Last year some GWU transfers posted that they received the envelope in the mail before any change shoed online. I bet that since May 1 was a saturday they’ll start notifying on monday instead (wishful thinking…?)

haha could be, but I am right there with you

I hope it is Monday, cause last year they did not hear until the 13th of May… I don’t want to wait that long lol… Boo for under review

I looked at the transfer thread for the last two years and it appears as if transfers didn’t start to post about being accepted until the 2nd week of May(13th-ish sounds about right).

Last year I was in the first bunch of acceptances that went out for GWU transfer students. I received an email on May 15th telling me that my application status was posted online and to check it, they provided a link within the email. Here is what it said:

Dear *,

Thank you for applying to The George Washington University and for giving us the opportunity to know more about you.

Admissions decisions for transfer applicants are now available online through the Application Status Check of the GW Admissions Activity Center. Please note that decisions regarding financial assistance will not be posted online, but will follow by mail.

You should have received an email including your GWID and instructions for logging on to the Activity Center. As a reminder your GWID is G*. If you are unable to log in, please call us at 202-994-6040.

Thank you again for your interest in GW.

My packet didn’t come for at least another week. Financial aid much later. Therefore, you guys will most certainly be able to check online before you receive anything in the mail. Best of luck.

Honus123: when did your application and everything in by ?

Has anyone else had issues logging into the Activity Center? When I click sign in with my username and password, it basically just refreshes the page and nothing happens!

Maybe thats just a cruel way to reject you…they just cancel your account. sigh

What a depressing thought.

i went on a GW tour about 2 weeks ago and i spoke with an admissions officer and I asked him what makes the transfer rate… like collegeboard said the transfer rate was around 22% and then college ******* gives GW a 50% something rate… any ways he said that they just make their decision based on how many students drop out or transfer or whatever

lets hope a lot kids drop out.
This may 1st deal is a joke

So - I called today about my inability to access the GW Activity Center with my username/password - and the person who answered the phone in the admissions office (cause it has to be some random student doing work-study- who else?) said that it was likely due to an overabundance of people logging into the system… hmmm … anyone else having this issue?? It doesn’t give an error message or any other message - basically it just refreshes the page…odd

Also - he said they are still reviewing applications, and decisions should be out in about a week - I don’t know if that means decisions will be out WITHIN a week or starting in a week…
