Hang Drying Laundry

Hey guys, does anyone know how people hang dry clothes in the dorms? I have a bunch of stuff that can't be put in a dryer.

You're probably just going to hang them up in your room. I've never seen clothes hanging outside. Plus, you shouldn't hang them outside unless you want to risk them getting stolen.

I always hang dry my laundry. I have a small, easily fold-able rack that I hang my clothes on. It's small enough to be able to fit in my room, but big enough that a couple loads of laundry will fit on it. If I run out of space, I usually just hang them up random places in my room (like from the bedposts or the door knob).

I do have a single, so if you don't, I'm not really sure what you'll do. You could probably still find a place to fit a small rack, but that will have to be worked out with your roommates.

I had a suitemate that hanged everything on the light in his room.

My S strong two 6 foot lengths of twine or some kind of sturdy nylon string and set up his own "laundry line."

We don't have a dryer at home and I'll be sad at the end of the summer when I have to start bringing our laundry back inside to hang dry. Nothing like the sun! (Why don't the eco-fanatics talk about the amount of energy a clothes dryer uses? Am I really THAT stone aged?)

drying rack (10 char)

people would just hang their clothes on hangers and just leave them in the nerd box (muir) or just in their roooms... haha its not really a big deal... you can also get a drying rack thing...

What's the "nerd box"?

in muir they have this tiny little room thats meant for studying...also called the nerd box.. it has a desk and a chair ...but no one used it my year... only to hang stuff and to store stuff..

oh that room! Lol that's a funny thing to call it.
