Harvard 2015 Hopefuls

Econ/Math/Gov’t/IR are my potential focuses. Leaning toward Econ.

^ My parents ask me to lean towards Econ.
I politely decline. :)

Will be applying RD this fall. My sister’s a current student… does that give me a boost? (:

Environmental policy really piques my interest, and in forty years, if the Earth is completely dying, I don’t want to be just stuck there thinking “What if I had actually tried to stop this?”, and so, well, there you go. I’ll definitely be concentrating in Environmental Studies if by some grace of God I do get accepted.

@Honesto:

Me too. I am thinking of double-majoring… Govt and Enviro.

Sounds like Al Gore?

Haha, yes, but unlike Gore I plan on applying to more schools than just Harvard.

@Honesto.
Yes, me too!

My parents havn’t even suggested any potential majors to me lol. Then again, their involvement in my academic life is minimal at best.

^Mine too, mine didn’t even know I was taking any AP classes this year and they haven’t been to a parent-teacher night since the 8th grade.

I learned English 4 years ago.
My mother cannot speak English, so she just says, “Everything will be fine”.
But, that is all I need.

Undecided here.

Count me in. As for my situation, it’s kind of scary knowing that what college I go to at this point pretty much hinges on my athletic and not academic performance. Maybe Harvard will want my athletic abilities, maybe they won’t.

^ What sport do you play?

^What sport do YOU play?

Didn’t know you were an athlete in the recruiting process monstor. My situation is slightly different; I’m qualified in one of my three sports as an Ivy recruit but I have next to no interest in playing the sport at a DI level. I’m not sure if I should leave the question of whether I want to play unanswered so that it’ll have a bit more potency as an EC.

I don’t do any competitively.

Baseball; pitcher.

I honestly can’t imagine what it must be like to be a varsity athlete at the collegiate level… I’m planning on continuing my sport, but it will most likely be on the club/intramural level.

speechless

Before discovering CC, I always thought that HYP were just academically intense.

I really have always wanted to try intramural soccer at whatever college I go to but I haven’t played soccer since I was like 8, so I would probably be horrific. Oh well.
