I have been on assist.rog and none of the ccc around me offer all of them. Is missing only one going to hurt your chances a lot? Has anyone been accepted to comm. studies at ucla without finishing all the pre reqs?

Well, you are probably competig against the hardcore students who did complete all the pre-reqs

yeah that is probably true lol

I missed 3 and I was still admitted. 2 of them were available at my school, too.

Quick question, in general, how important are pre-reqs? Does completing more pre reqs give you a better chance?

mental2: Very important - and yes. I applied just because I had over 60 credits after Spring, so I thought “Why not?”, and I got in! But generally, I think an applicant with finished prereqs and a 3.8 would get in over a 4.0 with less prereqs finished.

What’s difficult about completing ALL of the pre-req’s is that only a handful of schools in the state have equivalent courses for Comm St 10, then usually if you do find one of the schools it requires two classes to fulfill it. Then you have the Anthro 33, Comm St M70, Ling 1 or Sociol 24 which only one is needed but again still may require some searching. Then lastly, to top it all off, if the schools aren’t anywhere near you, you have to find the classes available online.

Yeah it’s hard to find those classes!
Has anyone found Anthro 33, Comm St M70, Ling 1 or Sociol 24 articulated classes online? Please let me know! Thanks guys.
