Anyone here got accepted to UCR with a 3.0 or less?
Is that a UC-weighted GPA? Is it safe to assume that you are a CA resident? The UC system requires 3.0 (under their own weighting system) in junior and senior year academic courses as the minimum GPA for in-state admission. Out-of-state applicants need a 3.4. The least-selective campuses (ie. Merced and Riverside) accept students with GPAs of 3.0.
Unweighted GPA and I am a CA resident
Here is the Common Dataset for 2014 and look on Section C11 of the CDS-C tab:
0.2% of Enrolled applicants had a unweighted GPA of 2.5-2.99
That was very informative. Thanks
Have you looked up your UC GPA yet? You said your 3.0 GPA is your unweighted GPA, is that your 9-12th GPA or 10-11th GPA?
My 10-12 is a 3.2
well here are my stats if you were curious
SAT 1370
UC GPA 3.16
What other colleges are you looking at?
UC merced , csuf, cal poly pomona, csula ,cs northridge and some other high end UC’s that I doubt id get in LOL
@Brotherbear: I only see one true safety on your list which is CSULA. UC Merced and CSUN are Matches. CSUF and CPP are Low Reach/High Match. Any other UC’s are High Reaches. I do not believe UCR is a High Reach for you, but a Low Reach. I wish you Good Luck. Have you been accepted into any of these schools yet? It is too late now, but you should have included one non-impacted CSU on your list such as San Marcos, Monterey Bay, Channel Islands for a definite acceptance.
I did get accepted to CSULA
just waiting for the other college acceptance letters
Congrats on the CSULA acceptance. Just hang in there until the end of March and hopefully you will have a few more schools to add to your acceptance list. I would loved to be proven wrong on your chances.
Well thank you for your help ill keep you updated to the colleges i get accepted to
