Has any one (U of M class of 2014) been awarded any scholarship money, or been invited to compete for anything? Anyone hear anything at all about scholarships?

Thanks!!

Sadly not :(. I’m checking the mailbox every day though (they only come through snail mail right?)!

Yeah, I think it’s only snail mail. I’ve been checking too lol.

…received an email yesterday inviting me to apply for the Bell scholarship

Cool, is that for IS or OOS??

OOS…10char

Ahh that’s lame…

I have a friend who was admitted in-state to LSA and to the Honors college in the first round. She is IS and received an email to apply to the Bell Scholarship. So yes, IS scholarship info is starting to trickle out of the Admissions Office.

But, if memory serves, yosup, you are in engineering, which means you are ineligible for the Bell scholarship (it’s from LSA). If you don’t hear anything regarding the Stamps or Shipman scholarships within the next month or two and you don’t hear anything about either the Michigan Tradition award or engineering scholarships, that means that you are probably less likely to receive a scholarship. There’s still tons of time until everything will be released, though, so it’s too early to be getting nervous about scholarships.

Just submit CSS and FAFSA in January to have all bases covered and you’ll be fine :)

I’m IS and I also received the e-mail to apply for the Bell scholarship. Admitted to LSA
