Has anyone???

has anyone been accepted with appealing to a uc?
especially when you had made a mistake on 60 units so having less than 60 uc transferable
units total and appealed and got accepted???

UCs are strict on the 60 unit requirement by end of spring semester. There’s no way to appeal that, just apply again next year.

Sent from my LG-C800 using CC

UCI’s 60 unit requirement has to be completed prior to enrollment. still low chance?

Did UCI reject you? Let them know you’ll take your summer classes to fulfill the 60 unit requirement. That should do it I guess.

^ yeah they did. yes i will be doing that. hopefully my sincerity will touch their heart :)

On your uc application did you indicate you’ll be taking classes in the summer?

yes but at that time was before i had miscalculated my units so now i recalcuate 56 uc transferable including the spring now and i put biology 102 which is 3 units so thats 59 units
:frowning: wouldnt hav been different if i put i was going to take 4 unit class during summer? does that make sense to you

so you would have 56 by the end of spring and planned to take bio 102 in summer which = 59 units?

nono thats what i put before decisions came out but i can always tell them im gonna finish 60 no matter what

If UCI rejected you because you fell short of the 60 unit requirement, it’s a done deal. There’s no way to appeal that, and even if you did, there’s no way knowing if they would have rejected you even if you did complete 60 units. I am not kidding when I say that UCs are strict on completing the 60 unit requirement BY THE END of your spring semester. Appealing means that you have new and compelling information. If it’s already explicit that you must meet your unit requirement by the end of spring semester, you surely cannot write a letter about how you’ll make up the rest of your units during the summer (which is only a result of your own miscalculation).

Apply again next year.

Yeah seriously, should have done a better counting job. You’re pretty much screwed if you only have 56 units after Spring Semester ends. You’re not supposed to use the summer before to finish up your units, especially since you can’t even add from 56 to 60. Try appealing, but the UCs don’t really have a heart as you might think (not a private college, so they follow the numbers closer).

Apply again next year.
