PLEASE CHANCE ME!
I'll Chance Back

you look good at georgetown and usc and maybe ucla, the rest are always toss ups chance me back

i forgot to include my link http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1025362-chances-texas-m-minnesota-etc.html</a></p>

ticorico i think youre right about me being pretty solid for those, yet the rest being iffy all around.

**also i forgot i took a 10-day Sports Marketing & Management class at Georgetown summer before 11th grade as well.

SATs higher will give you a good shot. Other than that, you look good. Thanks for the chance, good luck.

Ivies are Ivies - a crapshoot essentially. To make yourself a more attractive candidate, you may want to increase your scores a bit, but the extracurriculars and GPA are there. Basically, I say you match pretty much everywhere except HPS, where you might get into one or two. Good Luck!

hollister i agree. just a waiting game at this point as the admissions of stanford are currently picking names out of hat.

I think you’re strong everywhere except H, S and P. Those three will want higher scores and a “knock them over” EC. With a higher score and an essay showing some real passion, who knows?

all of them are toss ups but your in contention. You should be good for ucla, vandy, and usc also.

SATs are 100 points too low, you should have more APs for your fancy-schmancy public high school. ECs are really great. A LOT o’ stuff you got there. I’m really not sure, because the Harvard/Yale/Princeton type schools aren’t too predictable in their admissions, but I’m sure you’ll get into one of them.

Thanks for the chance… the HYPS and G-Town systems are extremely unpredictable but I don’t see why you dont have a chance… great extracurriculars, perfect gpa, a good SAT score… I don’t see why you dont have a chance among the others… I would say high matches to low reaches for all

Well obviously the top schools are reaches for everybody, kind of toss-ups. So I can’t accurately tell you your chances there.

But, compared with what I’ve seen you seem EXTREMELY well qualified. I like the widespread ECs you have :)

higher sat=great chance.

the thing is i dont think I’m taking the SAT again, oh well.

Harvard…Reach
Princeton…Reach
Stanford (EA)…Reach
Georgetown…Match
UCLA…Match
USC (cal)…High Match
UVA…In
Vanderbilt…Match/In

Your major reaches are H, P, and S, because they’re reaches for everyone. You seem to be competitive in their applicant pools, however. You should be confident about your strong chances with the rest. Best of luck!

I agree with everyone else. Stanford along with the other top tier schools are unpredictable, but you have a good chance! What region of Virginia do you live in? I’m applying from Virginia to Stanford EA as well!

Agreed with everyone else. Those top schools are just insanely unpredictable! But I think you have a wonderful chance and I wish you the best of luck! If you have time, would you mind chancing me? Of course, I won’t pester you to do it. Just a simple honest request =)

Academics
You’re basically pretty strong in the academics. Don’t worry about the AP tests - I’ve heard (from an admissions official from a pretty good school) that they aren’t that deciding any more.

Test Scores
Your SAT I is what’s going to hurt your the most. I’ll agree with a previous poster - a hundred more points would have really helped. However, since you’re (probably, based on your APs) more of a math/science person, your ACT is probably going to be better than your SAT and that’ll probably help.

ECs
Pretty strong, I think. You’re fine here. (Frankly, I’m impressed).

Just as a question: What do you have for awards? Something at the state/national level would really boost your chances.

School list

[ul]
[]HSP - Reach, but they’re reach for pretty much everyone.
[]UCLA - the fact that you’re not from CA isn’t going to help, but I’d say right at the line of match/reach.
[]I know nothing about Georgetown
[]USC - match
[li]Again, know nothing on Vanderbilt or UVA. [/li][/ul]

I wish you the best of luck, and if you have time, could you chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1047028-chance-me-please-stanford-mit-ivies.html</a></p>
