HELP! fullerton admission revoked?

im a senior and i may get a D in my first semester math studies sl class. this is not apart of my a-g requirements and i have already finished the three year math requirements. will my admission to fullerton be revoked??

Why are you still taking this class if:
you don’t need it to graduate
you have already fulfilled your a-g requirements
you are doing poorly in the class?

Were you accepted as a STEM (sci/math) major? What level of math is it? Do you have a solid, impressive GPA in tough classes?
Different cases can be handled differently.

well i took it to just have a 4th year of math(probably shouldve just taken stats)
i didnt think it was gonna be this difficult so i didnt drop it early in the semester. i also had some family issues early in the year that my teacher is aware of. she believes that i wont get my admission revoked.

yes i was accepted as a Stem

We don’t know how strong your stats and scores were, whether you were an easy admit to UCF. And, we don’t know if it’s “math studies” - or calc or something equally challenging. Nor do we know the rigor of your school, etc.

If you are a science major, there is an expectation you can handle all the standard maths. If you had a family crisis, there is often understanding. In my experience (I’m a parent to a kid who had a similar problem; no relation to UCF,) the school will focus less on the blip and much, much more on what you have done to rectify the problem. If your grade suffered because of some rotten tests during the family crisis- and has now sprung back: probably no problem. Do you have a GC you can discuss this with? Good Luck.

well i got a 1600 on the sat
3.2 cal gpa.
i was in precal last year receiving 2 B’s fi that helps

yea im gonna talk to my GC about this soon.

Im hoping its not big deal considering that it is basically an elective math classs
