Help with Bad Grade in a class with I can't get...

<p>Hi all,</p>

<p>No I'm not asking for study tips. I am a senior and it's getting difficult to motivate myself. HOWEVER, I am so motivated to do well in AP Government / Politics, but it's not working out for me. Something with the material is so confusing and the way the tests make you spit it out, i don't know. Furthermore, the case is, I have slightly over a 4.0 W gpa this year, not great. I have gotten B-'s the past two quarters, and now, I have a 76 C. (actually it might be slightly lower.) I have NEVER in my life gotten a C before, and I don't know what to do. It might be a D+. I am usually a straight A student, and have not been slacking off. (working hard.) For some reason, all college decisions are contingent upon "successful completion" of classes. No i'm not failing, nor will i (that is absolutely impossible for me i would never let that happen,) but i know that i will get at most a C this nine weeks. Is there anything I can do for colleges that will convince them that I am absolutely not slacking and taht I kind of do have like one of the lowest grades in the class (there are 13 kids with Cs or lower actually, and like 8 b's and the rest a's (like 2)...So) I'm not sure waht to do, and again, I'm freaking out b/c i've never gotten below like a solid B ever. Ever. What to do! Thanks :P</p>

<p>Colleges won't see your C. They see your final transcript so that C will average with your 1st semester grade.</p>

<p>Relax, and just keep doing your best. Your admit won't be rescinded over a C this quarter... Do you know where you are going to go?</p>

<p>get an A..not that hard just ask the teacher if you can do Extra Credit.. say you really want a B and you will do anything..</p>

<p>no extra credit EVEr. She's like anti-xtra credit. altho every quarter we get 2 extra % points.</p>

<p>um, i feel that ap gov is impossible. the tests are WICKED and she grades the essays like there's no tomorrow. i usually end up getting 33/50 on the objective part. i juyst don't GET it, like the material confuses the heck out of me. i'm gusesing it's kind of like the "if you can do algebra you can't do geometry" thing...like there's going to be at least one thing we're not all good at. Politics happens to COMPLETEly override my gpa this year..ugh</p>

<p>hmmm maybe if you're not slacking off and you're still getting a C, the course is too hard for you. And if the course is too hard, then maybe any college that won't admit you because of a see is too hard for you too? Just speculation.</p>

<p>the workload isn't the issue. i dont' care about workload. the material just makes NO sense and she does not teach..at all..like all of us are doing badly. it's NOT just me.</p>

<p>Most colleges don't care if you get a C as long as you maintain a 3.0, don't worry</p>
