HEOP Cornell HELP!!!

I'm a low-income student and even though my SAT and GPA are good I'm pretty confident that the HEOP program is the only way I could ever get into Cornell. That being said My mother finished her 2012 tax report and we were over the family size limit by 3000 dollars. My mom did some more overtime hours in preparation for my older sister's pregnancy. We have been safely under the limit for years but this time we went over. Since we went over in 2012 do I no longer qualify for HEOP. What should I do, CAN I do anything at all

I really need help I think I just lost my only chance to get into my dream school!!!

According to HEOP guidelines, “a maxmum of 15% of students admitted to HEOP may come from households whose income exceeds the scale listed…when unusual and extenuating circumstances warrant…Categories into which the exceptions fall: b) a one-time fluctuation in household income, where there is a history of low income.”

There’s a reason why they ask for past 2-3 years of your parents income so that it shows you were historically financially disadvantaged. Goodluck :)
