Hey I did Ed to penn but excluded all my Sat I. Will I get in trouble?

Hey UPenn doesn't have score choice, but the i still have the option of selecting what scores Penn wanted. I excluded all my sat Is while sending my Sat IIs. Because my act scores I sent were 32 and 35 composites, but my sat was awful: 2000, 2050, so I unchecked them. Will they still see or will I get in trouble? My counselor told me honestly that colleges just say the score choice thing, but don't really enforce them harshly. What do you guys know? Can you answer my questions?

1) They won’t see.
2) You won’t get in trouble.
3) It’s fine to send in SAT II & ACT scores.
4) Just answered your questions. :)

Good luck!

Are you serious??? Thanks man!!!

I’m rather baffled by your post and your reply to post #2.

Penn admissions makes it very clear – i.e. “Remember to send Penn all of your official ACT and SAT scores. Penn Admissions does not participate in Score Choice”.

So despite this rule you decide not to send in your SAT scores. You cast your high school counselor as someone whose integrity is in question and moreover as someone who can second guess what Penn will do with the omission. Then someone on this forum, who you don’t know, says “it’s okay” to do that. And you breath a sigh of relief. The stars are lining up to condone your omission.

The prudent course of action, which I expect will save you a sleepless night or ten, is to send in those SAT scores. Trust Penn admissions to look at your stats in the best light.

Very few colleges state they don’t allow score choice. I assume they do that for a reason and want to see your grades.

If Penn finds out you did not send the scores they can decline admission. If they find out after admission they can rescind. If they find out while you are in college they can throw you out of school. If they find out after graduation they can rescind your diploma. Is that worth the risk because your SAT Is weren’t in the top 1%?

I really don’t truly understand the concept of score choice at all. I rather assumed it would be wise to not send my sat scores at all. I only assumed it would be a question of morals to send one score for a specific test instead of all of them. I feel that I have made a bad decision by having taken the sat I in general. But I haven’t submitted my scores at all yet. Only my act scores have been submitted.

I’m finding it rather difficult to know what to believe.

Please review CCs Terms of Service regarding misrepresentation in the Registration and Your Identity section.

Entomom, If OP can misrepresent facts in the application, I don’t think posts on CC will hold to a higher standard.

Sad.

After the numbers were drawn, I felt that I made a bad decision by purchasing a lottery ticket. Unlucky.

Question: why would you want to attend a school in which you have so little faith?

Bob, I can only deal with the credibility of what’s posted on this site. It’s pretty obvious that the OP is thinking about or has chosen to misrepresent their test scores, and they’ve already been told what the possible consequences are.
