Im currently a junior in high school and Id really like to go to indiana university. Id like to go there for business although im here simply to know if i could get in IU not if I could get directly admit into Kelley. I was just wondering if my transcript would be good enough to get accepted...

GPA: 3.7(weighted and I honestly dont know my unweighted)
ACT: 31
Im in the top 25 percent of my class (however it should be noted that i am in a big class and my high school is highly regarded for acedemics in general)
Ive been in 3 AP classes and 9 Honors so far
I have a silver chord which means Ive done 50+ hours of community service
Ive been on track and cross country for all my high school years and I am on varsity
I plan on writing a essay and I will have a letter of reccomendation although both arent required
And finally just as some side notes, my mom is an alumni of IU and Kelley, Im a hispanic male, I live in Illinois, and IU has been emailing me since my sophmore year after i took my ACT Plan

yeah so if you guys could give your opinions on where i stand thatd be great!

You can definitely get into IU with those stats. Actually, I’m pretty sure you even meet the criteria for a direct admit to Kelley. IU needs Hispanic students too. The Hispanic population is about 4.5-5% here on the Bloomington campus.

I actually just had to do a case study in one of my classes about Hispanics at IU and it was pretty interesting. Basically, IU is lacking diversity from African Americans and Hispanic/Latino students and that puts you in a great position when job recruiters come around. (you won’t have as much competition as you would if you were attending a higher ranked school like UMich and so on.)

Another point that was discussed that I found interesting was that Kelley could be ranked higher if it had more diversity within those minority groups. Could mean that Kelley will be rising in ranks in the near future as they are working on this problem…

check out the Hudson & Holland scholarship program and La Casa. If you decide to take a serious look at IU, there’s plenty of scholarships for Hispanic students there.
