High need student probably not worth staying on the waitlist?

My son is on the wailtlist currently, but our EFC is very low ($4400). Can I pretty much assume my son won’t get off the waitlist and even if he did, they wouldn’t give us enough money?

It’s a great school, and he’d be very interested in attending, but I think if there’s no shot, he should move on. He’s already let them know he’s interested and got an email back from them.

All you can do is try, wait and see what happens. However, definitely look for other options in the meantime. Good luck!
