High School Class of 2015

I know that [Summer Schools in Oxford, Cambridge, Paris, Montpellier and Barcelona for Junior High and High School Students](http://www.oxbridgeprograms.com/index.php) provide immersion programs in Paris, if you’re willing to go.

Need. to. graduate. now!! =____=

@PoliticalProtege, my school doesn’t offer crew either you can join a club. That’s what I’m doing.

No clubs around here. So that’s not an option for me lol.

@Political, no crew clubs in Middlesex?

@shmluza, try Concordia Language Villages if you want to go to an immersion program this summer. From what I’ve seen, the French Village is nice and has a miniature Eifel Tower. I go to the German Village. They advertise as an immersion camp and they are, but your experience is what you make of it. So if you hate French you can get by with barely speaking it, but most people their speak French probably 90% of the time. Check out the website at

Yeah. I row in the summer with Three Rivers and I’ll row in the spring for school next year.

@starkali you mentioned you modelled. Does that take up school time or do you do your shoots and assignments after school or on the weekend?

Seriously … You guys are 8th graders.
I didn’t start lurking CC until the end of my rising freshman summer. So a few months later but still!

thank you pittsburgher. I’ll check it out. not for this year though.
@Preppy, I’ve heard of that camp you mentioned. My parents wouldn’t let me go overseas without them. they said at least not soon. :(

Aah, yeah. My parents wouldn’t either. I really wanna try next summer though. There are lots of cool summer programs for creative writers I want to attend.

Anyone here play baseball or basketball competitively?

I do a little basketball. I’m going to play on the team next year.

Yay for Class of 2015!

Hopefully the two doomsday scenarios(May 21, 2011 and 2012) won’t be true. :)

I can’t wait for HS.

The only good thing about MS is that it’s really easy…too easy.

^Doomsday, them Mayans, huh.
I agree about MS.

preppy I really hope you’ll do that program next summer so you can tell me. my parents said not this year, not next year… I don’t know when. :frowning: If you do it, will you do French?

Is anyone doing summer community service? I might volunteer at a local library or a local hospital because at my school you have to do 100 hours to graduate so I want to get started early.

I am, tutoring at the library and volunteering on public iservice projects.

cool. Golf, what do you do in the library?
I tutor too. but I earn $$ so I shouldn’t count it as volunteer work. I don’t know what to do for volunteer work. I play in a community orchestra. does that count?

I’m applying for that so they said I’d be putting books in the stacks. It might count. Is it a non-profit group? What is the purpose of the orchestra??

I’d love to work in the library. I may check with them sooner or later. thanks for the idea golf!
I don’t know if it is a non-profit. I can check. they play two concerts a year. the purpose is to enrich art in the area. encourage amature musicians to play. It’s very well received in our community. I played some when I was in middle school, just a piece/concert with young players. I’m thinking when I go to HS next year I will become a regular. Do you think that can count toward community service?
