^ I hate track and love it haha. I guess that’s the “track effect”.

I think I’m doing local stuff like a writing program at UNH. Probably prepping for PSATs with tutoring, starting Piano (really excited, been wanting to play forever and can finally start now), taking more Spanish programs, and volunteering.

I’ll be taking AP World History next year due to requirements… And @Secoja8, I’m trying for around 8 - 10.

@EveningSwan and @hailbo I’m taking two APS next year as well. Trust me, college confidential is a SMALL minority of people and the amount of people dedicated enough to put this much of a work load on themselves is small too. All this prep for college is understandable considering that college is the big picture. But look at an even bigger picture. Will going to a prestigious college automatically allow you to earn more money? A couple thousand more maybe, depending on the profession and other factors.

2016er here as well. my courseload this year is all honor’s classes (the highest available to me) and next year i’m taking ap world, alg 2 HN, chem HN, eng 10 HN, Sp 3, Sprts mktng, and pe 10. i’m applying to tj, the best public hs in the nation, as a sophomore, and if i go i will be sacrificing ap world for ap euro or oceanography. i’ll be self studying for apes either way

I’ve had this passion for learning and taking a lot of advanced classes before I found College Confidential. Once I set some standards, I have to keep raising them. Idk why.

@Secoja8
I be taking APCS A exam (kinda nervous!). Just saying, but if you have no prior experience with OOP, you might have a bit of trouble. (i know a couple of friends who is taking the class with me, and they had their minds blown.)

APCS requires logical thinking, and problem solving skills. it is fun though, I can tell you that. :D

Wow you guys take a lot of APs!! I feel like I do nothing right now cos there isn’t any AP courses in my school and the workload at school is so much that I don’t have time to self-study for anything

I agree that having high standards for yourself and continuing to raise them is a good skill to have. I cant wonder why you guys give yourself this much work anymore, you guys enjoy it.

Ehhh…yeah for the most part. I’m not as hardcore as some CCers, but my parents have made it clear that though they’re able to pay for my college, they expect me to go wherever I can get a Full-Ride. So I’m doing this for scholarship money to wherever I can go (seems like Howard U right now). And though I really like school, the stress can get to ya.

@MITisMyDream
Have no worries, I’ve got a bit of a computer science background, and apparently I have excellent problem solving skills.

Hey, if your school doesn’t have APs, then that’s good! You can just take the most difficult classes if you want a rigorous curriculum.

With me, I just want to win. For me, winning is beating my competition, being self-gratifying. That is my motivation, and I think it is going pretty well, but its cool to see other peoples’ drive.
