Hi to my freshman class! I guess I was very late joining this site. I joined today and I finished my junior year yesterday. Its good you guys started so early.

I am confused…

@swinter- pretty good at physics camp right now, it’s really fun!

Recently graduated. Class of 2012. Glad to finally leave the cesspool that is high school. Welcome to hell, kids

Heyyyyy guys(:

Bumpity bump bump bump.

Um. Hi everyone, again.

Hello. 10char

Hey fas (you should head on over to OT, B)

Guess im a little late to the party. So jealous of kids taking AP classes, my school has none and you cant take honor classes until junior and senior year.

Lol, I wanna go to a college in the North, so I can ride subways. I don’t trust myself with driving :P

@twix123: Does your high school not have Dual Enrollment classes? Besides, colleges don’t look at how many AP classes you take at school, but how you take advantage of what you do have. If you have a certain subject you’re really strong in and passionate about, maybe you can do a lot of extracurriculars, clubs, and programs related to that subject.
But what do I know, I’m just another rising 9th grader who needs to know about his own high school plan :P

Hi I’m from the '16 batch too! It’s a little complicated as I’m from Singapore and we start a new grade level in January. I’ll be in 9th starting next Jan, though :)

I go to a pretty competitive/selective girls’ school here, doing the A-levels track and we’ve got really crazy scheduling. Subjects for 8th:
English Language II - 2 semesters
English Literature II - 2 semesters
Speech and Drama - 1 semester
Higher Chinese II - 2 semesters
Advanced Math II - 2 semesters
Lower Secondary Science (Physics) - 1 semester
Lower Secondary Science (Integrated Science) - 1 semester
Geography II - 2 semesters
History II - 2 semesters
Philosophy II - 1 semester
Philosophy Enrichment Program - 1 semester
Research Studies II - 2 semesters
Physical Education II - 2 semesters
Home Economics II - 1 semester
Music II - 1 semester
Dance II - 1 semester
Art and Craft - 1 semester

Don’t have many extracurriculars here, and for most activities we get leadership positions only starting 9th grade. Also, my school only offers competitive sports (Varsity?) and I can’t cope with the really heavy training sessions because of my asthma. So currently I’m doing:
- Math Club
- Newsletter
- Piano
- Global Affairs Club
- Student Congress
I’m on the look-out for more activities, though :)

@BurningIce - Welcome! :D

Hi guys just wanted to bump this up. Anyone got any news?

Not really news but my first day of high school is in three weeks. :)

@Swinter. That is really early, why are you starting so early.

Wow! My school starts in about 2 months. My schedule for the upcoming school year (in no particular order):

English - 1
Plane Geometry
World History 1
Physics and Chemistry
Latin 1
Physical Education
Drama 1
Computer Skills

My private school doesn’t offer honors until tenth grade (as half of the student body is entering as newbies, like me).

I’m going to be taking A2 over the summer (summer after ninth). Not as means of acceleration, but rather as a way to get back on track. I had a bad year (mom was hospitalized for half) which could be evidenced in my failure in geometry. So that’s why I’m retaking it! I feel kinda bad… Like if I just focused more I could actually be taking A2 this summer and I would have been in PreCalc in ninth grade…

My school’s on a “modified year-round” schedule. Plus, I got out in May.

Where do you go to school, Swinter? And what does modified-year-round mean…?
