@awesomepolyglot, we had polyglot as a vocab word this week I thought your name was made up lmao
lol no it’s awesomepolyglot because foreign languages are awesome
Oh, awesome haha.
I really sorta do not want to go to school tomorrow…
Really?I hate the weekends. So much history work the only reason that I wouldnt want to go at this point is a presentation we have in Bio monday.
I’m at my grandparents’ house and I seriously doubt that my parents understand how difficult it is to get work done here.
I get distracted so easily when I’m doing work. It’s a problem. Like why am I on CC I have so much history homework. -_-
If you want, I can share my study guide with you @IAmNotCreativ
I was looking at my schools course catalog (making my HS plan :D) and I realized that our math is split really weird. Instead of calc being either AB and BC, you have to take both. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think AB is the easier of the two and then BC is AB plus some extra stuff. We have to take a full year of AB and then the first half of the next year, take BC. After you take BC in the fall, you take something called Multi-variable calc (sounds hard lol) which is not AP but 5.0 weighted. Is this really weird? I guess my track will be:
9th- Honors Pre-Calc
10th- AP AB Calculus
11th- (Fall)- AP BC Calculus (Spring) Multi-variable Calculus
12th- AP Stat and/or Linear Algebra (5.0 weighted, but not AP)
Comments or suggestions?
Just a comment. My school only offers up to AP BC, Unless you go the IB route, then theres IB Math studies HL which I think is just like calculus. I wish we had a better math program.
@manspeak2u At my school they “highly-encourage” students to take AB before BC because although BC is supposed to include all of AB, at our school and a lot of other schools AB is only briefly covered in BC. I’m planning on learning Calc 1 (or Calc AB) over the summer using Khan Academy and youtube videos then test into or get recommended for Calc BC for the next school year. I’m doing this because I love math and it tends to be really easy for me to understand, so I know that I’ll probably be able to understand most of the material and even if I don’t I know that I can ask my dad for help. I also really want to take certain dual enrollment courses and some require higher levels of math.
If you like math, can grasp concepts relatively easily (or study hard until you understand), and don’t have a problem learning math over the summer you can probably also do this. But first you should first make sure that your school will allow you to do this.
@Nickarch It would be helpful if you shared it with me. Thanks!
Aw. You actually have parents who are smart. No fair. If I had to ask my dad to explain why they are solving an equation in a certain way he’d be stumped.
@Nickarch They allow dual enrollment at our school, so you can take Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Statistics and Differential Equations at MC.
But thats such an inconvenience :((
My mom is smart, but my dad is not :))
@Nickarch If you ask Leo, he’ll draw a map showing you what bus routes to take and a spreadsheet showing which times are best for each route.
Im lacking motivation
@Nickarch lol. Same.
I’m just really tired.
I’m highly motivated to do well but poorly motivated to do the work.
APUSH got me dying geez. And actually our school is tiny compared to the rest of our county. So APCalcBC is the same class as IBMathHL. Just different exams. The only teacher for those classes is my current math teacher who’s always so moody and is kind of an a-hole. But well. . .
I wonder if she has a college confidential?
