Hello all, I'm an econ major with finance/math minors at McGill University in Montreal.

Background: Korean origin, father owns a semiconductor R&D firm in shenzhen & hongkong

GPA:
I started off with around 1.7/4.0 in my first year of studies -__-;;;;;;; I was a poli-sci major back then but i transferred out to econ after my first year. (personal crises happened which made me not care at all about my education...:( sadface) 2nd year though, i ended up with around 3.7 gpa~ with major gpa of 3.9 ish. I will probably graduate with 3.2~3.3 cumulative with 3.8+ major gpa (including math and finance)

Work Experience:
HKU's MFin program prefers students with 2 years work experience after college if my info is correct. I will have done about 1.5 years of work in internships by the time I graduate.

A Korean Conglomerate HR Strategy Intern (Mostly research and stuff for benchmarking & translating)

PwC: I will be at PwC for 2 months next year from jan-feb doing auditing i believe. im not too sure on this (uncle's getting me in so im not sure about the exact position)

Another Korean Conglomerate, working in finance department from march~june next year.

from june~august of next year, I have no plans as of yet but I will most likely be working for an investment bank as an intern before I go back to school for my 3rd/4th years of studies.

Certificates;
CFA Level 1: I am in the process of studying for CFA Level one exam and will obtain it in my last year of studies at McGill.
CPA: I am not too sure on this. I absolutely detest accounting but if it helps greatly, then i will....work on this.

Research
Helped my East Asian Studies professor's research on Parhae (an ancient korean kingdom) including a 3 day research trip to Harvard University.

Well that's about it. there are couple of extra curricular activities at school but nothing major or leadership position-related.

How much of a chance, if any chance at all do I have at getting accepted to HKU's MFin program upon graduation? (i do not plan on working for 2 years before applying)

THanks in advance!
