Holy crap, I'm in!

Still can't believe it. Penn State accepted me to their University Park campus. This really took me by surprise, especially since I kind of didn't write an essay or do their supplemental form because of my tendency to procrastinate everything no matter how important and urgent. Same thing happened with Stony Brook, too; didn't write an essay or do a supplemental, and got in. My question is, is the size of the school the reason for this? I mean, by no means am I an exceptional student. My GPA is 3.3 and my SAT is 1780. Almost no ECs and an ok rec...

Anyway, congrats to all other accepted students, and good luck to all who are still waiting for a decision. I wish Penn State was my first pick, becuase it really is an outstanding institution. I bet I would have picked it as my first choice if it wasn't for the location and size.

Congrats on getting in,good thing it's not your first choice, because it is very overrated.

Are you a student there? Can you talk about the overall atmosphere of the place?

new is not a student and for some reason he seems to hate PSU now ;).

Funk what is your first choice (if you dontmind me asking)?

Rutgers New Brunswick. Just decided it was a better school for me. My other acceptances are from SUNY Stony Brook, Penn State University Park, and University of Vermont. Still waiting from NYU and Johns Hopkins University, but I know I won't get in, so...meh.
