Hi everyone!
I need your help and advice. I'm not sure whether I should take honors or regular pre calculus next year. I'm going to be a junior and I'm already taking Ap us history, ap environmental science, ap english, and honors french 3 and then religion. I am in regular algebra 2 now but got an A in the class(working really hard and having a tutor) so I qualify for honors precalculus. Math is not my forté but I ideally want to take AP calculus senior year where you need a 93 if you're in regular pre calculus and a 83 if you're in honors. I don't want to overwhelm myself but want to go to a really good college so I need my schedule to be rigorous. Thanks so much

Go with honors. If you only need an 83, you will probably be fine and in some schools it’s weighted like an AP class. It’s not too challenging of a class - just ask immediately when you don’t understand something and remember your trig ratios! good luck

Once you understand the basic concepts behind precalc, it becomes way easier as everything just builds on top of those concepts. So if you are good at math like you say, I would deffinately recommend taking honors.

Ask your teacher whether you’d be allowed to “drop down” from H to regular if within the 1st month you realize you’re in over your head… or are getting less than a B. :)
