When do you hear about the honors program if you applied and got in EA?? Thankss!

If I am remembering correctly…when I visited campus, they said that the honors program is really small (like 20-25 students), mainly taken up by Presidential Scholars. I know that we find out Presidential Scholarships in April, so I would imagine that the honors college acceptances would be sent out then as well.

That makes sense, thankss!

I believe honors program admissions for EA applicants can go out as early as January/February but should be out by April when regular decision goes out. But, you may not receive notification until later as space opens up in the program.
The Fordham College Rose Hill program has about 35 students, the Fordham College Lincoln Center program has about 20 students, and the College of Business Administration program has about 15 students.

My S received notice today 2/11/10 that he was accepted into the Honors Program @ Lincoln Center. (!!!) He was a National Hispanic Recognition Scholar, applied EA (11/15/09) and was accepted & received the Semifinalist Scholarship to Fordham (Full Tuition) by 12/15/09. Good Luck!

Fear not. The Honors Program is very rigorous and some say too constricting, plus the grade deflation problem. There are several honors programs available after your freshman year, by invititation of the faculty only, for students with a cumulative Fordham gpa above 3.5. These are interdisciplinary programs and offer more flexibility in planning majors and minors and are wonderful and rigorous programs as well. They also have an Honors Program in the College of Business Administration (CBA) at Rose Hill.

Go to the Fordham website for further information and/or ask about it at the admitted student orientation weekend in February and April.

Congrats, bcp! The fordham college honors program is a wonderful opportunity to be challenged by some of the best students and faculty at Fordham.
