Honors?

So! Who's doing honors?
=]

I'm going for Plan II and Dean's Scholars..
Hope I get in...
haha

Anyone else applying for any of the honors?

engineering honors here

I hope I get business honors as a sophmore. :)

Haha cool!
Good luck with that
=]
I still have yet to write my essays...grr
Unfortunately, I can't write worth...anything
xD

my s is trying for business honors, app is complete, but he knows his chances are slim - his test scores are high for UT, but low for business honors.

But, nothing ventured, nothing gained!

Don't worry about test scores too much for sophomore admissions. At that level, it's mostly about GPA and leadership shown during the freshman year. Keep the GPA up (3.8-4.0), get involved in some campus groups and you will be fine.

I applied early for Business, Plan II, and Liberal Arts Honors. Can't wait to get those decisions!

Haha, I'm trying to get a leadership position in the investment club to get some extra points. I was thinking of running in the finance club, but the competition looks fierce there.

I'm going for the gamut, just like BS to UT. BHP, Plan II, and Lib Arts in case I don't get Plan II.

my s is a freshman. He has leadership out the wazoo, but only a 30 ACT, he is a val though, but so are probably 200 admits to McCombs.

He honestly is just happy to have been accepted to McCombs, anything after this would just be "gravy". :)

DS just went to a UT prospective engineering student event where there was a presentation about Honors engineering, among other things. I think they said the average SAT of honors eng. was 1477 and top 4% class rank - plus leadership, activities, etc. My son has the numbers, but not sure about the other stuff! :)
