housing applications

Haha Birnkrant Room 420. :)

"D1" doesn't really mean anything. It's just how the housing people keep track of who's living in which room, I guess (There's D2, etc.). As long as you get there first during move-in, you get dibs.

how can you tell from the code if your room is a single, double, triple, etc?

I can't figure out waht's wrong w/ my application
when i go to application all i get is
The application process is not currently available to you
Please select the housing term for which you are applying.

The Law term is only for admitted students to the JD program at the Gould School of Law. Please select Terrace 2 bedroom 2 person as your first preference.

For Summer, only select one term.

Spring 2008 Housing Applications will be available online beginning July 1st, 2007. You may apply for Spring housing at that time.

There is a $30 application fee associated with each term application. Choosing a new term and continuing beyond this page will result in the $30 application fee charge to your account. For returning residents the fee will be charged to your Bursar account. For all other other applicants a payment of the application fee by credit card will be required to complete your application. This fee is not refundable and will be charged even if you do not complete all the sections of the application process. Housing can not refund application fees due to applying for multiple terms (when only one is desired) or applying for the incorrect term.

I applied by mail, so maybe that changes things, but i dont know for sure

My son was assigned the Radison yesterday and that choice wasn't even
on his housing list-oh well-I've heard some bad and good things about the place (private bathrooms, etc) but how many college kids are housed there and does it have a "dorm" feeling at all????? When the reps came to visit our area, they implied that the Radison was a great place to live but who knows....

I visited it last semester when I was working on a project, and I was surprised by how much if felt like a dorm. It seemed to be a really nice arrangement.

i just got called housing services, and there's news for people who haven't requested roommates yet: when you and your potential roommate receive the housing contract in the mail and if you're assigned to the same dorm, all you have to do is fill out a form included with the contract and send that in. they say it's really easy :) yay!

what do you mean? a form to request a known potential roommate?

Just got the e-mail with the housing info. Birnkrant double! Woohoo!

Anyone else get New/North? Specifically the Cinema Floor?

Pardee dbl!!!

anyone else get a birnky triple? i heard they're quite big!!

btw misoobishi i'm almost certain you were in my prez. interview (which went horribly for me haha, but im still going to SC so w/e!)

it's official...

PARDEE DBL!!!!!! =D

I have a birnkrant double, but there are some ppl in the facebook group that have posted that they have triples.

My app was mailed 4/7 and I did not get any of my top 5 housing choices. Anybody else receive A&H Residential College at Parkside? I'm hoping it's primarily freshmen. Any other freshmen biology majors in that residence hall?

I wound up in the "quiet" community at Fluor, and I really would like nothing of the sort. Is there any chance if I apply for reassignment, or is that just my loss? I do want Fluor, but not the limitted noise and hours.

eww i got stuck in marks

lol sry, sjw2011, i might not have been clear :P it's if you have found/find a potential roommate, and know you guys happened to be assigned to the same dorm: then you each fill out a reassignment form, and they can make the switch really easy, just move both of you into the same room :) it's basically if you both are assigned to diff dorms that makes reassignment difficult.. hope that clears things up :]

Yeah, I also did not get my top five, as I put down Birnkrant, new, north, pardee, then fluor. I got stuck with AHRC, which I am not familiar with at all. I am pretty disappointed, but then again I turned in my application somewhat late, around late April. How is AHRC characterized?

Hey, guys, any one into Mark's Hall? know what its like in there?

AHRC is the newest dorm on campus, we will be the first year to use it. Each suite is composed of four doubles clustered around a common living room and a single bathroom with two toliets and two sinks. The living rooms come with a stovetop, refrigerator, and microwave. Overall, it sounds pretty promising granted that you enjoy the seven other individuals.
